First Day of School

Dear Friends and Family,

Today was our first day with students! It was a beautiful team and one of the smoothest first days Courtney has ever experienced. We are so thankful for the team at WNS.

We also received great news from our oldest son. William and his wife will be moving in September for a new position he has just received.

There is so much for which we are thankful. We do have a few prayer requests. Courtney, lost her position with Radford University due to a policy against having faculty who live outside of the US. We are also continuing to work on selling the RV.

Courtney is still learning to cook in Kenya but she was able to get pressure cooker similar to the InstaPot in the United States. Jeremy also succeeded in getting local craftsmen to make a sofa bed, so we are ready for company when the opportunity arises!

Successful end to our first school day with students

Praise:

  • Great first day with students
  • We are learning the platforms for our jobs
  • Amazing Co-workers
  • Opportunity to support two families that just had babies (and more of those to come)

Prayers:

  • Continued grace as we learn our positions
  • Grants that can help our school with capital improvements
  • Wisdom on raising supplemental funds due to the loss of the RU position (approximately $7000 a year)
  • Sale of the RV – especially with the RU change
  • Grace and safety for William and Hannah as they relocate

Congratulations on the first day! I imagine it felt like your first day back in grade school all over again. We’ll keep praying for both of you and your ministry in Kenya πŸ™
